Crowley vs. Crichton

Michael Crowley of The New Republic is the guy whose place I took at the Phoenix in 1999. There he had done a spectacular job of covering the 1998 race to replace Joe Kennedy. This year Michael has, as we say in the business, really found his voice. He’s written a succession of insightful and witty stories, ranging from the GOP colony in Northern Virginia to the revival of the Connecticut Yankee. But his writing in this ascerbic piece about Michael Crichton is outstanding. It made me laugh out loud and hopefully will do the same for you.
