I just got back from lunch with a friend at the Charles Hotel’s Henrietta’s Table, which I wrote about in my power breakfast story in Boston Magazine.
First, I spotted Mike Carson, formerly the general manager of WHDH. Then, in walked an older gentleman who looked just like former Soviet premier Mikhail Gorbachev. Only, given that Gorbachev is speaking in Cambridge tonight, it was none other than the man who oversaw the winding down of the Soviet empire!Most recently, Gorbachev appeared in an interesting looking print ad in glossy magazines for Louis Vuitton bags.
